Surviving the Stone Age

4th March 2016

Kestrel class (Years 2 and 3) visited the Time and Tide Mtime-and-tide-3_1_gallerylargeuseum in Great Yarmouth, on a Surviving the Stone Age class trip. Their topic this Spring term is the Stone Age so they enjoyed sharing their knowledge and exploring new facts about this time in history.

It was an action packed day, with the children learning to hunt, throw spears and build shelters. One interesting fact, they were all keen to share back at school, was that Stone Age man would preserve animal skins by crushing  up the animal’s brain in water and smearing it all over the skin, to stop it from rotting!
